Dear Kinky Boots...

19 January 2019

Good evening lovelies, I hope you're all well. I'm currently suffering with the worst cold and my throat is killing. I'm feeling really sorry for myself. I've had a really slow day today too but I have made my through an assignment and I finally feel like I know what I'm doing, woohoo! Today's post is going to be a little different and quite personal. I'm going to be sharing with you the letter I would love to send to the Kinky Boots Musical.

Some of you may already know but last week I was lucky enough to attend the final Kinky Boots show on the West End. It was such a breathtaking experience and I'm so happy to have been able to go and say goodbye to my all time favourite show on the West End. I fell in love with the show last year and it has helped me through a lot. So I thought it would be nice to write a little letter sharing my love and thanking this wonderful show.

Dear Kinky Boots...
Thank you for helping me believe in myself. Before I had seen your show, I was so nervous and shy when it came to embracing who I am, the interests I love and the future I want to pursue. I was really down and struggling with my overall confidence but after I watched your show and listen to your lyrics and lines, it helped me learn how to love myself. It's really hard for me to put into words how much Kinky Boots has helped me but it really has. I have never connected with a show/musical as much as I connected with Kinky Boots. I came out of the Adelphi Theatre feeling full and so incredibly happy.

Not only did I fall in love with the musical but I fell in love with the characters and the actors who played them. I have been lucky enough to meet the actors and they are all wonderful and I look up to them so much as actors and human beings. I will cherish every moment I have had with the actors (Natalie McQueen, Oliver Tompsett & Simon-Anthony Rhoden) as every conversation I have had with them meant so much to me and I hope to see them all again very soon performing in different shows.

I don't really know what else to say than THANK YOU and I wish I could have seen the show more than the three times I saw it whilst it was on the West End! Like I said, I connected with this show on such a deep and personal level and to see it leave the West End breaks my heart but hopefully we will get to see it there again in the future. One day I wish to perform in this show too. That really would be a dream come true.

Thank you Kinky Boots, and keep on dazzling and filling so many peoples heart like you filled mine.
Love, a very thankful fan xx
I know this post was really odd and a little different but I really enjoyed sharing some love towards this glorious show. If you haven't seen this then please try and see it whilst its on tour this year! or listen to the soundtrack! I'm going to miss this show so much, goodbye Kinky Boots.

Until next time,
Tabitha xxx
