Fairyloot Unboxing Review | September 2018

Unboxing #1
I have been eyeing subscriptions boxes for absolutely ages. Definitely a couple of years. I finally decided on subscribing to a box that has caught my interest and I've been toying with the idea of subscribing for a while. The box I decided to subscribe to was the Fairyloot box which is a YA book box. I was so excited when my September box came through the door and I just knew I had to share with you all what I got in the box and my thoughts and opinions on my very first Fairyloot box!

The theme for Septembers box was 'Starcrossed Swoons' which I just loved the sound of. I do love a good romance.

Bella & Edward Candle by Nerd Poured Candles
Now I'm not a massive fan of Twilight. I just never really got into the books and could only make it so far in to New Moon before I decided the series really just wasn't for me. However, this candle smells divine and it's definitely perfect for this time of year. Definitely giving out those autumnal vibes! The scent is crisp apple, pine and cedarwood. The apple scent powers through but not in an overpowering way. Overall, I'm very happy with this candle.

Prythian Shoelaces
When I saw these, I was confused to what they were at first but when I realised what they were and what they were themed on, I realised how unique and cool the item was! They are shoelaces based on the book A Court of Thorns and Roses - which is one of my favourite books of all time - and each of the circles represents a court in the book. Cool right!? I can't wait to put these on to some of my trainers!

Constellation Notebook
How pretty is this notebook!? I always love a new notebook and I love this one. It's got such a pretty quote on it and it just makes me want to read The Star Touched Queen as I am yet to read that! The notebook is also blank and it's always handy to have different formatted notebooks.

Dreamer Apron
I'll be honest. This item will probably get the less use out of all the other items but I do love the idea of this item and it's a really pretty item too. This apron is based on the duology Strange the Dreamer and the quote just makes me want to read the book so much! That and everyone and their cat is talking about these books. Hopefully, I'll get to the book soon! I think I will probably gift this apron to my mum as I think she will get more use out of it than I ever would!

Love Rune Pin & Angelic Fire Candle Matches
I love pins! If you follow my instagram then you will know how much I love pins so when I saw this pin i was very excited! It's really pretty with the glitter embellishment in the rune. If you didn't know, this pin and the matches are based off of the Shadow Hunter books written by Cassandra Clare. I'm still only on book three in the Mortal Instrument series and I can't decide whether to continue on or not as I have heard the later books are far better! The matches are a nice touch too as you can never have enough matches for those candles!

Swoon Worthy Postcard Set
When I saw these in the box, I fell in love instantly. These postcards are just gorgeous and stunning. I especially love the Rhysand & Feyre card as well as the Cassian & Nesta card as they're from my favourite series A Court of Thorns and Roses. All the other prints are equally just as gorgeous and it definitely makes me want to read the other books that were featured in the postcard set.

& Finally, the book.

Mirage by Somaiya Daud
I hadn't heard of this book when I revealed it out of it's book sleeve but it sounds like a really interesting story. This book is Somaiya Daud's debute novel so I'm really intrigued to see what it's like and I'm definitely going to add on to my current tbr purely because it sounds so interesting and up my street. I have read some pretty great reviews when scrolling through the goodreads page so I just can't wait to read it. It's also a gorgeous copy, with bright purple sprayed edges and it's been signed by the author herself, which is pretty special.
Overall, I'm really happy with my first box. You definitely get your money's worth so I don't feel lie I've waisted £30. I'm really happy with the book and I'm glad it's a book I haven't heard of before as it makes me more inclined to read it. I also love the items within the box, especially the postcards and the pin! I can't wait for next months box already!

I hope you enjoyed this blog post, I enjoyed writing it and I'm looking forward to writing more of these posts in the future.

Until next time,
Tabitha xx
