Aloha Dolls,

If you haven't guessed by the title of this post then I have some pretty exciting news to tell you all! Matt and I are off to Disney World this June and I am SO blooming excited. Since visiting Florida back in 2016 we've just been wanting to fly back and experience the magic again. Some people may say we are crazy to be going back so soon but as we adored it so much last time we thought it we be fab to go back again.

We booked the trip back in early November last year and I have been wanting to blab about it ever since however we decided to keep it on the down low until the New Year arrived (I mean I did blab it to many close friends and family but I kept my mouth zipped when it came to social media!).
We will be flying out to Orlando on the 27th June and staying there for two weeks, which means we will be there for my birthday and the 4th of July again. I'm going to be turning 22 this year and so we are VERY excited to try out the many alcoholic cocktails Disney has to offer as we couldn't drink alcohol when we went in 2016 (darn over 21 rule!).

This time round we will be staying at The Caribbean Beach Resort and it looks GORGEOUS. I can't wait to experience staying in a moderate hotel instead of a value hotel and see whether the extra dollar is worth it. I'm also excited to stay in a different hotel as hotels are always exciting in my opinion.
Is it sad that I'm also over the moon knowing I'll be reunited with my favourite character Goofy! I can't wait to capture all the cute photos with him together!
As we are going to flying off in about 5 months time, I'm planning on sharing with you all a Disney holiday themed post with you all on the lead up to travel day. So expect to see around 5 Disney holiday themed posts on my blog over the next few months! Matt and I are also determined to vlog whilst we are out there as not only would it be fun but it would also be a way of us documenting our holiday and being able to look back over it when we've come home.
As you can probably tell from this post I am so incredibly excited to get back out to Disney World and I really hope you're excited to see some Disney content on my blog! As well as maybe seeing mine and Matt's very first vlog's together!

Have you got your holiday booked this year?

Aloha Dolls!

This week has been a manic one! I've been in the library most days trying to complete an assignment as much as I can so my lecture can go over it next week! I'm just trying to get on top of my coursework as I'm struggling with the load at the moment so the more on top of things I get the better I'm gonna feel stress wise. Today however is the day I share with you my current favourites, so let's dive straight into them!
The Lux Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout - During December, I kept on picking books up that I just couldn't get in to. It was a real shame because I wanted to read and the books I were picking up were good I just couldn't read no more than 10-20 pages at a time. This January though, I decided to pick up The Lux series again and I am so happy I did. It's such an enjoyable series and because it's so fun I fly through them.

Heated Blanket - My house at university is always SO cold. It really is a nightmare so for Christmas I asked for a heated blanket and it was the best decision I have ever made! Not only does it keep me toasty warm at university but also when I go home (as my bedroom at home always seems so cold). I just love it.
Walt Disney Goofy Mugs - If you don't know, Goofy is by far my favourite classic Disney character. He's adorable, funny and just great. I have decided to start a Goofy collection as I find that his stuff is very rare making his items more special to me. When I saw these mugs on the Disney store website, I just had to pick them up and I LOVE them, they are so cute and fit in with  my collection perfectly.

The Crown Season 2 - I binged the first season of The Crown and I really enjoyed it. If you haven't watched it, it's all about our Queen (Queen Elizabeth) today and her journey becoming an being the Queen of England. When the second season 2 was released in December, I binged it in about 5 days. It was so good and if you haven't watched it please do! You won't regret it!
Eye Shadow Palettes/Looks - I have always loved makeup but recently I just can't get enough of experimenting with eye shadows. It's my favourite part to my makeup routine, whether I'm going for a subtle or dramatic look! I have picked up so many different palettes in the last 2 months and I'm still eyeing up so many more! Currently my Urban Decay Heavy Metals palette is my FAVE, I just love experimenting with the gorgeous shimmer colours.

I really hope you enjoyed reading another one of my current favourites posts! I really enjoy writing them! Eye shadows are definitely my most favourite thing at the moment as I just can't get enough of them, all I want to do is buy more and experiment with more colours!

Also I would just like to announce that I have finally started up my blog Instagram again! Hopefully this time I won't flop and give up! Please give me a follow here! Following everyone back!

Nail Varnish Of The Day #3

Aloha Dolls!

I love painting my nails, it's my favourite part of the week when I sit down and paint my nails. As you may have read, I got so many great Essie nail varnishes for Christmas and I'm slowly trying them all out! I year a go I used to share individual nail varnish looks and as I'm constantly painting my nails and trying out different designs I thought it would be nice to bring back the series! I'm calling is 'Nail Varnish of The Day' and I really hope you enjoy reading these posts.

Essie nail varnishes are becoming a new favourite nail varnish brand of mine. Normally I wouldn't buy them as they are rather pricey however since been gifted so many I'm falling in love with the shades and the formula. I'll probably opt to buying them more now as I now know they are great quality. The first shade I'm sharing with you out of my Essie collection is 'Bobbing For Baubles' and I just LOVE this shade.
As much as I love light shades, I find that the darker shades suit me more (especially when I'm so incredibly pale at the moment - on a fake tan break...). This shade is a very cloudy navy colour and it really is such a pretty deep shade. What I also love about this shade is that it's not too blue as sometimes navy can clash with black however because this isn't too blue it goes with pretty much any outfit you wear! The formula of this nail varnish is so pigmented that you only really need one coat, although I always opt for two coats to make sure the colour covers my entire nail.

With a good top and bottom coat this nail varnish lasts for about 5 days. I'm really bad for chipping mu nails and it doesn't matter if i use a good top and bottom coat or not, I always seem to do something to cause my nails to chip! Currently however, I'm just focusing on trying to grow my nails and so far I'm doing well! So, if a nail varnish lasts up to 5 days or longer, I'm happy!
I know this post wasn't madly in depth, however I plan to share nail varnish patterns and designs as I have just ordered some nail art tools (as well as some gems!).

Have you got this nail varnish? Do you like it?
Do you like Essie nail varnishes? What Essie nail varnishes are your favourite?

Can you believe that next month will be Blogger Book Nooks 6 month anniversary! It really has flown by and it only feels like yesterday when Abbey and I decided to go forward with the idea. This month we are going against the book rules and will be judging a book by it's cover.. WOAH, I know, this has to be the WORST act there is when it comes to reading and life in general. Alas, we are breaking the rules anyway.

Don't know what Blogger Book Nook is?
Blogger Book Nook is a book club created by myself and Abbey from Abbey Louisa Rose. The whole idea behind this book club is that we wanted a club which would encourage ourselves and others to read more and read more genres we wouldn't normally pick up! Not only do we write a monthly post but we also have a Facebook group where ourselves and others can discuss everything books!
Just like always we have a set of five questions to answer and a book recommendation/review for you all in the theme of this months reading prompt! If you haven't checked out Abbey's post, you definitely should! On with my questions and book recommendation/review!

1. Which book currently on your shelf has the most beautiful cover?
This is a real tricky one as I have so many gorgeous books on my shelf but I would have to say my most stunning book is my Brothers Grim Story Collection book. It's huge and the detail on the cover really is beautiful. The illustrations inside are also beautiful too, I just adore flipping through the pages, admiring all the pretty artwork (even if the stories that go along side them are a little wacko).

2. Is picking a book based on it's cover something you do regularly?
Not really! Only very rarely will I pick up a book purely because of the cover. Don't get me wrong, I will definitely pick a book up in a book store if it looks pretty but then I will read the blurb on the back to work out if it's a book I would want to read!

3. If a book was written about your life, what would be on the cover?
Oh wow, I honestly don't know! Probably something pretty and floral with magical elements! Or if following my educational path it would have lots of animals on the front!

4. Do you prefer hardback or paperback covers?
I 100% prefer paperback covers, rarely do I find a hardback cover where I think it's better than a paperback cover. That and I really dislike that most hardback covers are quite plain when you take the dust jacket off!

4. What draws you in most to a book cover? Stunning illustrations? Pretty lettering? Interesting textures?
All of the above?! It really depends on the book itself really as I just love so many covers. I'm not very picky when it comes to book covers as long as it's pretty, striking and gorgeous!

Mini Book Review (Currently Reading): Opal by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Now when I first look at the cover to this book, I see a really ill sparkly women. Honestly, that's what I see. This book really isn't the most attractive book and it annoys me so much because this book is so much fun to read. This book is the third series to The Lux series and I have the collector addition copies and they really are something. Not only are they huge and bulky due to there being two books inside but the covers are just not attractive at all! The original book covers are no better either with their over dramatic teen model romance covers (cringe!!). However like I mentioned earlier these books are so much fun to read.

I obviously can't go into too much detail about this book  without risking spoilers but I can give you a brief synopsis of the series in general. So, imagine Twilight but instead of vampires you've got aliens. Hear me out, that sounds AWFUL but I can tell you now that I 100% prefer these books over to the Twilight series as Jennifer L. Armentrout really does right them in an entertaining way which just pulls you in and all you want to do is continue reading. I recommend reading these books if (like me) are struggling with the ULTIMATE reading slump and need something to read. They're just so FUN and Daemon is HOT and SEXY and an ALIEN!!!

But yes, please don't judge this book by it's awful cover as I guarantee you'll enjoy them.
I hope you enjoyed another Blogger Book Nook post and please join in on the fun by joining our Facebook page. We would love to see you there and next months prompt is a real goodie you won't want to miss it!

Aloha Dolls,

On Boxing Day Matt and I decided to take a trip to the cinema. I don't know what it is about the cinema around Christmas but I just love going. Last year I went to see Moana three times in the cinema, THREE times and this past Christmas I went to see Star Wars: The Last Jedi and The Greatest Showman. In today's post I'm going to be giving my review on The Greatest Showman.

*Before I share my review, I just want to clarify that this is my own opinion and I don't class myself as a movie expert, I'm just writing these posts as I love movies and I love discussing them too!*
I really enjoyed this film, I knew I would before I even saw the film due to it being a musical. I'm just a musical junkie, so if it's a musical I'm watching it's very rare for me to not enjoy the film. The way I'm going to structure this review is through sections, that way the review is easier to follow! So lets get on to all of my thoughts!

The story is based off of a real individual known as P.T. Barnum. If you don't know who P.T. Barnum is the founder of Barnum & Bailey Circus and was known for his enthusiasm towards celebrating hoaxes and sensational people. This film follows the making of P.T. Barnum and how he started off as a poor individual and ends up as 'The Greatest Showman'. What I loved about the story was how true it was. Events happen within this film that you can definitely imagine happening to any individual where all of a sudden they make something of themselves and through themselves maybe too far into the role due to subtle greediness.
Overall, the story line is quite a simple story line and is a little predictable in places however when you consider everything else such as the characters, music, choreography and atmosphere the story line really does make the whole film a little more magical.

There are so many wonderful characters that you meet throughout the film. All of which bring such depth into the story line. P.T. Barnum, the star of the show, is played by Hugh Jackman and oh my he is great. I'm a BIG fan of Hugh Jackman anyway and he really did make Barnum come alive. He brings so much emotion into Barnum that you really do connect with him as a character.
Another character I LOVE is the character Zac Effron play, Phillip Carlyle. I love how complexed of a character he is, risking everything he knows for something he knows little about other than it is a risk! I also adore his relationship with the character Anne Wheeler, played by Zendaya, and the challenges they face together. Zendaya also does an amazing job at playing Anne, the character is a perfect character for her to play with all her theatrical/dance backgrounds she has. It's also amazing to know that she went and learnt all the skills she needed to perform all the acrobatic scenes herself. I love hearing that actors are learning new skills so that they don't need a stunt double.
There are so many more great characters such as Charity Barnum, the Barnum twins, Jenny Lind and Lettie Lutz. They all bring so much to the table making the story and film so enjoyable and emotional.

The scenery used throught the film is absolutely gorgeous, one of my favourite scenes which really shows how beautiful the scenery is, is right at the start during the song 'A Million Dreams' when Barnum and Charity are dancing on the roof. It really is such a wonderful scene. There are so many more brilliant scenery moments throughout the film which just makes the film even more wonderful.

I really enjoyed the overall story line and the musical numbers throughout the film were phenomenal too. It just makes me want to see this show on stage as you can really tell that this show was for the stage! My favourite musical number has to be 'Rewrite The Stars' and 'This Is Me'. They are both such powerful songs and I just LOVE belting them out in my car on a long journey. Even though these two are my favourites I adore all the other songs just as much as they really bring the whole film and story together. I'm also loving how much love the soundtracks are getting as they really are brilliant. I would absolutely love to see these songs performed live, here's hoping this musical returns to the stage!

I really did hope you liked this post, I definitely want to write more movie reviews in the future. I understand they are not the most informative reviews but sometimes all I want to know is whether the individual enjoyed the movie or not (not all the technical stuff). I can't wait to review more films in the future!

Have you seen 'The Greatest Showman'?

Aloha Dolls,

Just like I stated in my 'Go To Christmas Nail Varnishes' post, I love painting my nails. I find so much joy from just sitting down with a cuppa and painting my nails. I really do try looking after my nails (I struggle sometimes as when I'm feeling stressed or anxious I will automatically bit my nails or the skin around my nails, gross I know, without even registering) and I find painting my nails is what stops me from damaging them the most! So when I opened up an Essie advent calendar on Christmas morning I was OVER the moon.

My mum wanted to buy me the Essie advent calendar before December started however it was retailing for around £56 and she just couldn't justify spending that on an advent calendar (which I completely understand with) however when she visited Boots mid December they were selling these calendars for only £10!! So she just knew she had to pick it up and I am so blooming happy!

There was such a massive selection of different varnishes and I was SO impressed. Below is a list of all the varnishes included in the advent calendar.
Apricot Oil
Colour Corrector For Nails
All in One
Gel Setter
Gel Couture Top Coat
I can't wait to start using these items. Especially the Apricot Oil as I find that my cuticles get so dry and gross, so hopefully this will cure that.
Nail Lacquer 5ml
Shade 74, Tart Deco
 Shade 203, Cocktail Bling
Shade 487, Sil Vous Play Hero
Shade 458, Glow Your Own Way
Shade 15, Sugar Daddy
Shade 201, Bobbing For Baubles
Shade 14, Fiji
Shade 457, In The Mood Ring
How gorgeous and cute are these mini varnishes. All of the shades are so pretty too. I also love that there is a large variety in colours too.
Nail Lacquer 13.5ml
Shade 88, Licorice
Shade 64, Fifth Avenue
Shade 83, Mink Muffs
Shade 48, Luxedo
Shade 459, Disco Doll
Shade 56, Fishnet Stockings
I think my favourite shades out of these full sized products is Luxedo and Mink Muffs.
Gel Nail Lacquer 13.5ml
Shade 270, Rock The Runway
I have never used an Essie Gel varnish, so I'm really intrigued to see what this varnish is like.

As you can probably tell from this post, I am VERY happy with this present. I can't wait to try all the shades out and I'm feeling inspired to maybe reintroduce a post I used to write in the past.. 'What I'm Wearing On My Nails'. In fact I think I will write this post more often on my blog as I used to love sharing with you my first impressions/thoughts on the nail varnishes I chose to wear! So keep an eye out on those posts soon!

I hope you enjoyed this post and I also hope you're as excited as I am for my returning posts 'Wearing On My Nails'!

Aloha Dolls,

I honestly can't believe another year has been and gone. I feel like we all say this but 2017 really dud fly by in just a blink of an eye. So much happened in 2017 such as me finishing my first year at university and passing my driving test... FINALLY. I'm so incredibly proud of myself as I definitely have hit some great milestones in my life within the past year and I have improved immensely in many other things like blogging.

In today's post however I'm going to be sharing with you my New Years Resolutions/Goals. I love how motivated I feel at the start of a new year and so I'm going to take this opportunity of motivation to write down all the things I hope to achieve over 2018.
1. Scrapbook
For Christmas I asked for scrapbooks and decorations to use in them. My mum bought me two gorgeous scrapbooks and I can't wait to start creating memories within them. My goal is to scrapbook my year in the hopes that by the end of the year I'll have a few books filled with so many wonderful memories.

2. Read 25 Books
I want this year to be year I read loads of books. In the past I used to read so much but since going to university I just haven't been able to read like I used to and I want to change that. 25 books seems plausible, averaging at 2 books a month so lets hope I get reach this goal this year!

3. Get FIT!
Every year I say this and every year I fail. I really need to get myself into a doable routine. I also want to start running and join in with weekly park runs. This is something I really want to achieve this year, I just hope I have the motivation to stick to it.

4. Drink More Water
This is something I struggle with, some days I will drink loads of water and other days I will only drink a glass - shocking I know. So this year my goal is to improve on this and I've downloaded an app on my phone to help me stay motivated.

5. Keep To My Blog Schedule
Even though the last two weeks of December wasn't the best when it came to my blog content I felt that by the end of the year my blog post scheduling was on point. I have never lasted more than 2 week when it came to uploading consistently so I was pretty proud of myself when I managed to upload frequently for just over a month. I want to continue this and keep up with my scheduling! Here's to a successful blogging year!

6. Vlog
Matt and I have something pretty special planned this year and I can't wait to reveal to you all what it is. It may not seem special to you but we honestly can't wait and we both want to vlog the experience to create an even more special memory we can relive. I have always wanted to vlog so hopefully 2018 will be the year I start.

7. Use 1 Second a Day EVERYDAY
I love watching these videos. If you haven't seen any 1 second a day videos please watch one, they look so incredibly fun to make and this year I want to create one.

8. Start Reviewing Movies
I love watching films and discussing my thoughts on them with Matt so I have decided that this is something I would like to share on my blog. I may not be the most educated in film making but I can tell if a film is enjoyable or not (in my opinion of course). Hopefully you will see some film reviews soon on my blog.

Last year I failed at saving horrendously. I just couldn't keep my pennies in my piggy bank. This year I want to change that and save, save, SAVE. I have many exciting plans coming my way and the only way those plans can go ahead is if I save!

10. Look After My Nails
I'm so bad when it comes to my nails. One minute they're looking great and then the next minute they look like awful nubs on my fingers. This year I just want to achieve nice nails, where they are at a nice length and the skin around them don't look beat up!

There you have my 10 new years resolutions and I really want to try my goddam hardest to achieve them. It would make me feel incredibly proud if I manage to do so anyway. I'm still in shock that 2017 is already over and I'm back at university however I'm so excited for this year to kick start as there's so much to look forward to!

Have you got any new year resolutions this year?

Aloha, Tabitha x
