Last weekend I made the decision to come home early and I'm so glad I did. I only had three lectures and most of the week I would have spent on my own in my room just pondering about as all my assignments now due are due in the new year. It's just been so lovely spending the week at home not having to worry about work or coursework as well as spending time with my family and Matt. We also had the beautiful snow last week, making everything look super festive and jolly. Matt and I took the opportunity to venture out into the snow last Tuesday and we got some gorgeous photos (so be warned, this post is a photo heavy post!) that I can't wait to share with you all!
We started the morning by stopping off at a local village cafe. I really do love visiting cafes as they always provide such yummy, homey foods. I opted for a latte and a breakfast sandwich and Matt opted for a latte and cranberry, brie and bacon panini - both meals were so scrumptious, we will definitely be revisiting this sweet cafe again!
After a great breakfast we visited Matt's Nan and it was lovely. Her garden is the most picturesque garden there is! She had a pond, a field and mini forest surrounding the grounds, the PERFECT place for outfit photos and photo shoots. I'm so incredibly happy with how these pictures turned out, I have also finally discovered that Matt is a brilliant photographer and I can't wait to use him again on many more photo shoots to come; maybe you'll see a few more 'Outfit of the Day' posts on my blog in the new year!
After visiting Matt's Nan and having a mini photo shoot in the snow, we ventured down to Dedhamn which is by far one of my favourite places to explore. It's such a pretty village and the wildlife surrounding the village is gorgeous too. When we arrived we noticed a mass gathering of ducks surrounding a family. I really haven't seen anything like it before. The ducks were so friendly and habituated that they were gathered around their legs, quacking for bread.
The family were nice enough to give us some bread to feed the ducks ourselves and I managed to get some stunning close up pictures. I'm really proud of them as they are just so striking and clear. I hope one day to take more pictures of animals as I get such a thrill and joy out of it.
Overall we had such a wonderful morning. It was just so nice to get out into the snow and take some pretty pictures. I really now can't wait for Christmas, even if I am working 7 hours on Christmas Day! I can't wait to wake up and spend Christmas morning with Matt as well as spend the whole of Boxing Day with him baking and going to the cinema!
Until Next Time,
Tabitha xx
