Last weekend I made the decision to come home early and I'm so glad I did. I only had three lectures and most of the week I would have spent on my own in my room just pondering about as all my assignments now due are due in the new year. It's just been so lovely spending the week at home not having to worry about work or coursework as well as spending time with my family and Matt. We also had the beautiful snow last week, making everything look super festive and jolly. Matt and I took the opportunity to venture out into the snow last Tuesday and we got some gorgeous photos (so be warned, this post is a photo heavy post!) that I can't wait to share with you all!

We started the morning by stopping off at a local village cafe. I really do love visiting cafes as they always provide such yummy, homey foods. I opted for a latte and a breakfast sandwich and Matt opted for a latte and cranberry, brie and bacon panini - both meals were so scrumptious, we will definitely be revisiting this sweet cafe again!

After a great breakfast we visited Matt's Nan and it was lovely. Her garden is the most picturesque garden there is! She had a pond, a field and mini forest surrounding the grounds, the PERFECT place for outfit photos and photo shoots. I'm so incredibly happy with how these pictures turned out, I have also finally discovered that Matt is a brilliant photographer and I can't wait to use him again on many more photo shoots to come; maybe you'll see a few more 'Outfit of the Day' posts on my blog in the new year!

After visiting Matt's Nan and having a mini photo shoot in the snow, we ventured down to Dedhamn which is by far one of my favourite places to explore. It's such a pretty village and the wildlife surrounding the village is gorgeous too. When we arrived we noticed a mass gathering of ducks surrounding a family. I really haven't seen anything like it before. The ducks were so friendly and habituated that they were gathered around their legs, quacking for bread.

The family were nice enough to give us some bread to feed the ducks ourselves and I managed to get some stunning close up pictures. I'm really proud of them as they are just so striking and clear. I hope one day to take more pictures of animals as I get such a thrill and joy out of it.

Overall we had such a wonderful morning. It was just so nice to get out into the snow and take some pretty pictures. I really now can't wait for Christmas, even if I am working 7 hours on Christmas Day! I can't wait to wake up and spend Christmas morning with Matt as well as spend the whole of Boxing Day with him baking and going to the cinema!

Until Next Time,

Can you believe in only 11 days it's Christmas Eve!? I honestly can't wait and in 10 days I'm going to see Disney on Ice with my sister and I'm far too excited! I can't wait to share with you what I thought of the show! Anyway, on to today's post...

Since writing my 'What's in my makeup bag' post, I'm really into writing beauty styled posts which is really odd for me they are normally really out of my comfort zone. However I plan to upload some eye shadow looks soon using a new palette I was gifted by my boyfriend recently and today I'm sharing with you my FAVE nail varnishes! I love painting my nails, there's something so calming when sitting down with a face mask on and giving yourself a well deserved manicure. I try and do my nails at least once a week however I sometimes find myself painting my nails twice a week purely because I ADORE painting my nails! As I seem to be constantly painting my nails in pretty shades, I thought it would be a really great idea to share with you what nail shades I tend to grab during the Christmas festivities.

Maybelline Super Stay 7 Days Gel Nail Colour | Shade: Rouge Profond & Dark Roast
The Maybelline Super Stay nail varnishes are a new find for me, I had never tried them out until I used one of my housemates a couple of weeks ago. I was so incredibly impressed with the quality of the product that I knew I had to pick up my own shades. I picked up Rouge Profond and Dark Roast due to how fitting they are for the Christmas months and I'm so happy with the shades. Rouge Profond is a deep red which I prefer over bright red and Dark Roast is a deep brown/red!

Essie Nail Lacquer | Shade: Sweet Souffle
I do love Essie nail varnishes but they are very expensive so I very rarely buy them. However, I saw this shade in T.K. Maxx and I fell in love. It's a beautiful pretty pearl white shade, resembling a white Christmas in my opinion.

Models Own Nail Varnish | Chrome Rose
My mum gifted me a Models Own gift set last Christmas and this was one of the shades included in the gift set and it's a perfect festive shade. I love wearing gold this time of year and this shade is so glossy and shiny, it really does give the resemblance of wearing gold foil on your nails! Super pretty.

Superdry Nail Paint | Shade: Silver Glitter
I was also gifted a Superdry nail varnish gift set last year as well and this shade is by far my favourite from the set. I never even knew Superdry produced nail varnishes but I was really impressed with the quality of the products. This one is such a pretty glitter shade perfect for a festive party!

Barry M Nail Paint | Shade: Christmas Tree & Black Pistachio
Barry M will always be my go-to nail varnish brand. They never disappoint when it comes to the amazing shades they provide. Christmas Tree is a perfect shade for Christmas, it literally says Christmas in the shade title! I love pairing it up with Black Pistachio (a deep green) to give off that perfect festive nail for Christmas day!

These are all the shades I grab for during the festive season! They'll ideal shades and really give off that festive cheer, I just love them! I really hope you enjoyed reading this post, I'm thinking of doing this for every season as I just think it's a fun way to share with you what nail shades I love wearing during different seasons or occasions! Anyway, I'm off to paint my nails, I'm thinking Chrome Rose will be my nail varnish of choice today!

Did you enjoy this post?
Have you got any of these nail varnish shades?
What colour do you paint your nails during the festive season?

I get so excited to write and publish these posts every month now! I can't believe we are already on the fourth month and so many of you are joining in! I'm just so happy with how great this book club is going! Last month's reading prompt was YA and I loved it. As I stated in last months post, I just adore anything YA, it is by far my favourite book genre, I could browse the YA section in waterstones for hours.

Don't know what Blogger Book Nook is?
Blogger Book Nook is a book club created by myself and Abbey from Abbey Louisa Rose. The whole idea behind this book club is that we wanted a club which would encourage ourselves and others to read more and read more genres we wouldn't normally pick up! Not only do we write a monthly post but we also have a Facebook group where ourselves and others can discuss everything books!
As you can probably guess the chosen reading prompt for this month is anything FESTIVE! Seems fitting it being December and Christmas only being around the corner (I still can't believe Christmas is so soon! I honestly can't wait). We have some fun questions picked out for this months reading prompt and we do hope you decide to join in! Here are the super awesome guys who joined in last month:
♡ An Ocean Glimmer
♡ Fleur's Makeup Box
♡ Over Peach Chic
Thank you so much for taking part girls, I absolutely loved reading your posts and I really hope you decide to take part again this month! It's so heartwarming seeing other bloggers take part in mine and Abbey's little creation. For me, I haven't read that many festive books so I was really excited for this month to finally pick up a festive book and see if it makes me feel anymore festive than I already do! Anyway, like every month, we have picked five questions in the theme of this months reading prompt, so let's get to it and answer them!

1. Do you have an all time favourite Christmas book? If so, what is it?
Like I said a moment ago, I haven't really read any Christmas books! I just never seem to branch out for them during the festive months. So unfortunately I do not have an all time favourite Christmas book however I do want to read more Christmas books in the future so maybe I'll find a favourite soon.

2. Are there any books from your childhood that you associate with Christmas time?
The one book that comes to mind when I think of my childhood and Christmas time is 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe'. I guess it's because Father Christmas makes an appearance in it and for the majority of the book, Narnia is covered in snow! I also love watching the film during the festive season, as it gets me feeling all cosy and festive.

3. Which book are you hoping to find in your stocking this year?
Honestly, I don't know! There isn't a book that I really, really want this Christmas. I think it's because only a month ago I bought two new books (read my mini haul here!) and I have yet to read them. So any book in my stocking will make me happy!

4. Have you ever received a book at Christmas that you still have on your book shelf unread?
Oh god yes, I still have books on my shelf that my mum bought me two Christmas' ago! How bad is that!? One of the books is 'The Darkest Minds' by Alexandra Bracken, I just haven't found the right moment to read it, I always branch out for other books on my shelf! Hopefully one day I will finally read it.

5. Where is your favourite place to curl up with a book in the wintry weather?
I love curling up in my bed with a hot drink! I also love turning on my wax burner, as it just adds to cosy feel. I also love doing the same but curling up in a blanket in the living room as sometimes when I read in my bed, I end up falling asleep, which can be a slight problem when you want to stay up reading!

My Festive Current Read:
Almost Midnight by Rainbow Rowell

I haven't read many short stories let alone festive short stories. This book is first the prettiest book I have ever seen, the hardback cover is so glittery, it makes you feel festive just looking at it! Secondly, this book contains two short festive reads one focused around New Years Eve and another focused on a girl who is OBSESSED with Starwars. I've only read the first story ('Midnights') and I LOVED it. I really, really loved it. The characters, Noel and Mags are so incredibly adorable and the outcome at the end of the story is so satisfying and heartwarming! I can't wait to read the second short story already and I'll most probably be finished with this book by the end of the week. This is definitely going to be a book I'll be picking up every December purely because it's such a fun quick read and instantly gets you in the festive mood.

As stated early, I haven't read many festive books so I can't really recommend you any festive books I have read before! However, I would recommend the book I'm currently reading as it's just so CUTE.

Don't forget to check out Abbey's blog and read her #BBookNook posts as they're so good! Also, if you are a massive lover of books and want to join along in our little journey with this book club then join our Facebook group and maybe take part in this months post/set of questions!

To my dismay, my mum has never let me own candles of my own. I used to look at the candles in Yankee candles all the time but alas could never actually purchase any, until I discovered the electric  wax melter! This honestly was my saviour and I can now FINALLY order and buy waxes (which I think is the next best thing to a candle). I mean, an electric wax melter doesn't give off that same glow but they do give off the amazing smells a normal candle would!

I discovered Moonlight Melts over on twitter and I'm so happy I discovered their products and they are GORGEOUS! They purely sell wax melts, so perfect for me seeing as that's all I can buy in regards to candles. They have some gorgeous as well as unique scents and I constantly find myself scrolling down their website, eyeing up all the amazing scents! I thought it would be nice to share with you the scents I recently bought and maybe you may browse on their website too!

Black Coconut
Top notes of coconut and pineapple giving way to musky cedarwood.

Love Potion
A blend of cherry blossom, muguet, red apple and Georgia peach with hints of tamarind and blondewood

Autumn Leaves
A rich and alluring highly perfumed woody masculine fragrance

Magic Potion
A magical blend of Japanese grapefruit and mandarin, Georgia peach, rich purple plums, Valencia grapes and soft rose petals on a base of Nubian musk

Dragon Blood
An autumn-like-warm woody and earthy scent with notes of amber, vanilla, sandalwood combined with light tones of powdery musks and hints of Asian florals to bring out subtle spice undertones

Lock Ness Monster
If you ever could imagine what the Lock Ness Monster smells like, this is it! Single malt scotch whiskey and thistles with a sweet, spicy undertone. Scotland in a bottle

I think out of all of the scents, I love Magic Potion and Dragon Blood the most! They smell absolutely gorgeous and I will definitely repurchase these if they're still available when I next order! I currently have Lock Ness Monster burning and it's such a strong smell and I only used two melts in my electric wax melter! I couldn't recommend these melts enough as they're so great and SO affordable.

I'm 100% going to be making another order on Moonlight Melts website. I can't wait to try out some fresh scents in the New Year! I will definitely share with you what scents I order next so keep an eye out for that post in the future!

Have you heard of Moonlight Melts?
Are you a lover of wax melts like me?

This month is a 'Wishlist' month and I'm so excited to show you what I'm wishing for this month or more fittingly I should say this Christmas! This is basically what I'm hoping for this Christmas and I do hope I see a few of these items underneath my Christmas tree! I do hope you are enjoying the alternative 'Wishlist' and 'Favourites' posts, I'm definitely liking the routine of them being alternatively, it's definitely making organising my posts a bit easier and more varied too! Please let me know if you like the idea down below in the comments! Anyway, on to this months wishlist! There's definitely a theme to what I would love this Christmas!

I really want to get into scrap booking in the new year. I love taking photos and printing them and instead of them just being chucked into photo album I think it would be lovely to put them in a scrapbook, making the pictures look real pretty and a great way of sharing special memories. So I'm going to ask for some scrap book items to start my scrap booking journey!

I love doing my eye shadow and so I really want some new brushes so I can experiement more with my eye shadow designs! I only have two at the moment and so it would be nice to have a few more to choose from, that and I LOVE spectrum brushes!

I love Goofy, he is by far my favourite character out of the big 5! I'm determined to start collecting Goofy merchandise purely because I love him so much and finding stuff dedicated to him can be quite difficult so by creating a collection it would make me so incredibly happy! This watercolour paining of Max (goofy's son!) by Sweet Allure is gorgeous and would fit right in with my Goofy collection!

In the theme of scrap booking, I would love some washi tape as I think washi tape is such a great way to decorate and easy way to decorate a scrap book! These washi tapes look super cool and pretty too! However, any washi tape under the Christmas tree would make me happy!

Another item I want to add to my Goofy collection is this beautiful plush! I can just imagine how adorable he will look on my bed, so I do hope I get this for Christmas to start off my Goofy collection! It would also be great if it was personalised *hint hint* Santa!

I'm looking for a new scent and I know this particular scent is quite pricey however it smells so good and I just love it. I would be a very happy and lucky girl if this is under the Christmas tree!

So that's all the items I would love to see under the Christmas tree (especially the Goofy items!). I can't honestly believe it's Christmas in less than a month now, I still haven't bought my Christmas presents, I've just been so disorganised! Although I am excited for the big day to arrive, I just can't wait to spend my first Christmas day with Matt!

What do you think of my wishlist?
What's on your wishlist this month?
