My Summer Bucket List 2017

11 August 2017

This post is a long time coming, I had this planned to be uploaded at least two weeks ago but due to going away, my post scheduling went out the window completely! I do apologise but none-the-less, I hope you enjoy this post!

I love bucket lists, I think they are a great way to visualise what you want to do with yourself, whether that be during a specific holiday or through your entire life time. Not only do I love reading and creating my own bucket lists but I also love reading through others. It gives you ideas on what you want to do as well as nice to just see what an individual wants to do with their time too! After reading the lovely Abbey Louisa Rose's post on her summer goals and what she wants to achieve this summer, it inspired me to produce my own summer bucket list, full of things I want to fulfill over the summer months!

- Read between 10 to 20 books - Seeing as I now have so much time on my hands I really want to read more books and I feel like that 10 to 20 books is an achievable goal for myself.

- Get myself a job - I haven't had a job for about 9 months now and even though it's been lovely not having to stress about work hours, I'm in desperate need of job. Not only do I need to start saving, I also need a job to keep my mind active so I'm not feeling too lonely when I can't see anyone.

- Get adventurous with baking - Just before I left university I bought myself Tanya Burr's baking book and there are so many yummy recipes in it that I'm dying to try out, so this is definitely something I want to do more of this summer.

- Introducing advertising to my blog - I have seen blog advertising a lot recently on my twitter timeline and I thought that it would be a cool idea if I'd give it ago. I have a few ideas up my sleeve such as free advertising deals. I hope this is something I can incorporate on my blog soon!

- Give yoga a try - Yoga is an activity I really want to try out. I'm hoping to find a great class near me to go to as well find some real good youtubers to try some of their routines. I have heard many great reviews from doing yoga so hopefully I'll find a love to it too.

- Love my body - Recently I have gone down a tricky road where I'm just not happy with the way I look. I feel so bloated and unattractive at the moment and I really want to change these views to more positive ones. I'm hoping over the next coming months my body confidence will improve.

- Experiment with my photography - I recently bought myself a fancy camera and all I want to do now is take photos. I'm hoping that over the summer months I'll be able to experiment and practise my photography skills, lets hope my photo game improves in my posts too!

- Cycle and swim more - Two sports I adore is cycling and swimming and I want to make an effort to be involved with these sports over the summer. Not only do I enjoy these sports but it will also benefit me in my health which also another plus.

- Be happy with clear skin - My skin is constantly having its ups and downs, it's driving me insane. This summer, I'm going to try my hardest to succeed in having clear skin and further from that, I want to be confident when not wearing makeup.

- Spend quality down time with Matt - Since being at university, I have definitely grown so much more appreciation towards Matt, not that I had a lot appreciation before but having the distance between us has definitely pulled us closer and we now appreciate the time we have together more. So this summer I'd like to spend more down time with Matt, where we can just appreciate being together.

- Make the most of my day - There was once a time where I would wake up super early and it was great, my days were more productive and I felt awake. Since coming back from university, I have been getting up super late so I want to start waking up earlier and by doing that, making the most of my day.

I'm feeling pretty happy and confident with my summer bucket list (in fact I have already completed one, which is very exciting). I really do hope I can achieve all everything on my bucket list and I will surely let you all know how I got on at the end of summer.

Have you got a summer bucket list this year?

T xx

  1. I've made no bucket lists this summer, but I'm thinking of getting a bullet journal and starting to make a bucket list/to-do list of goals for my gap year! I've started trying to attend gym classes in the morning (although tomorrow I have one booked for 9am and I am not sure if that is a little too early) and it really helps me just get up and out of bed and energise in the morning! I love yoga, I used to do hot yoga but stopped because I couldn't afford the membership anymore but I so recommend it. I can feel such a difference in my body and the tightness in my body now that I've stopped going. People say its also nice mentally but I never got that really like I never found it mentally cleansing but thats probably because I never made an effort to clear my head. But yoga is so good. I hope you find classes to attend and love your body and have a wonderful summer in general!
